PROJECT OF THE MONTH
plumeria frame

Materials list:
- Cement steppingstone, clay pot or primered wood piece (tray, plaque, frame, etc.)
- Mosaic elements
- Tile adhesive
- Tiles, ceramic plates
- Goggles, Dust mask
- Hammer
- Sponge, Towel
- Rubber gloves
- Two craft sticks
- Sanded grout
- Disposable container

Instructions:
1. Select a project base
2. Wear dust mask, hand and eye protection
3. Arrange your Mosaic Elements to suit
4. Place a towel over your tile, plates, etc. breaking to desired piece size with hammer
5. For a more precise cut, use a tile nipping tool (optional), aiming the cutting edge where you would like the tile or china to break
6. Lay out your background design leaving 1/2" or less between tiles
7. Using a craft stick, apply a small amount of tile adhesive to the backs of each piece and place
8. Reposition as needed
9. Let dry overnight, or until adhesive has set
10. Wearing gloves and dust mask, using another craft stick, mix your sanded grout with water to a peanut butter consistency, following manufacturer's directions
11. Rub the grout over the surface, filling all cracks and spaces
12. Wipe clean with soft towel or sponge to reveal all of your pieces

Broken tiles and plates may be sharp. Use care when handling, and always wear dust mask, hand and eye protection.
